The End of the Runway: My thought’s on Project Runway 4’s Finale

Did anybody else catch the season finale of Project Runway 4?

I must confess that I’ve been such an avid fan of the series ever since it started. I loved Season 1 Jay’s final collection with the earphones. Season 2’s Santino’s arrogance kinda annoyed me but amused me at the same time. I found myself at a toss-up in Season 3 as I loved the final 4- Michael, Laura, Uli and Jeff. Ultimately, I guessed who won though. Jeff’s final collection was fantastic.

This season of Project runway left me in a toss-up again! All of Jillian’s, Rami’s and Christian’s collection knocked my socks off!

As a person who gets cold really easily, I related to Jillian’s ingenuis use of knits. She presented new shapes and took boring knitwear to the next level!!

My personal favorite, in all honesty was Rami’s. I’m a girly girl and a sucker for day dresses, evening gowns, you name it. They were all so effortlessly sexy and the draping was impeccable! I think he will be responsible for the comeback of the one shoulder dress trend! I was really hoping that he would win! :p

Christian’s, admittedly was the most impressive of the three in terms of showmanship. It was almost a Haute Couture collection! Such talent for a 21 year old! As he likes to say, Fierce!!!

What were your thoughts on the finale? Who were you rooting for?

Two feet, Tons of Countries

So there are a ton of places you want to visit, but you don’t have the time right now. Maybe put those plans in the backburner, and revisit them later. There’s no reason at all that wouldn’t feel like how you’d walk in your dream destinations … right at home! Here’s a quick little list of some of footwear and the accompanying accessories appropriate for corners of the world!

Spain – Espadrilles is the order of the day. They used to be known as “peasant footwear,” but they’ve been given a second life thanks to names like Donna Karan. A neat addition to your outfit would be a red scarf necklace, worn around the neck, for that earthy, Spanish feel.

India – Putting on an ethnic piece like beaded slippers mixed and match with shawls will make you look all dressed up. Add a couple of gold bangles and you’re all set!

Greece – The gladiator slippers that Mischa Barton has been sporting lately says it all. Also, metallic bangles give you a Troy-ish Grecian style.

China – Silk flats are the equivalent to giving your feet first class tickets — it’s both stylish and comfy at the same time. There are tons of asian-inspired accessories like necklaces and bracelets to give your style an oriental twist.

Italy – Everybody knows Italian leather is the way to go — run with some Nine West Leather pumps. You just can’t go wrong.
